Soapstone
Soapstone
has a blue, green, or gray cast. It scratches easily, but is resistant
to chemicals, acid, water and heat. Light sanding will remove most scratches
and mineral oil will recondition the stone. This constant oiling causes
the surface to become a rich, veined, charcoal gray--even more beautiful
with age. It can be used for sinks, countertops, or fireplaces. For more
information, contact Vermont
Soapstone.
